We'll go back to concerts, and then we'll wear Kangol caps.

We have provided you with cap this season.

We want to return to festivals and concerts featuring classic casual styles like the Kangol bucket hat worn by Liam Gallagher.

They call it a bucket hat but at BDL we stick to the cooler wording Bucket.

It's crazy to think about how influential the bucket really has been when it comes to music, clothing and subcultures.

When we think of festivals, we automatically imagine bucket hat nostalgia from the Stone Roses concert at Spike Island in 1990, where 1 in 2 people wore the famous bucket-style silhouette while the euphoric guitar melody of 'I Wanna Be Adored' echoed through the landmark of the cooling towers.

The connection to the subculture goes back to the original mods of the 60s, the B-Boys and casuals of the 80s and of course the whole Britpop scene of the 90s thanks mainly to Liam Gallagher and Damon Albarn.

Oasis fans will of course remember when Liam and Damon played the Soccer Six charity football match in 1996 with Kangol's bucket which became an overnight success thanks to pictures like the NME and other national tabloids at the time.

The style really captured the era; Euro 96 and Gazza's famous dentist chair celebration, '3 lions on a t-shirt' and of course the ongoing battle of Britpop.

The “Madchester” hat was back and everyone was “mad about it.”

Fantastic. Simply.

Since the '90s, however, the bucket hat has become a festival staple and an all-time favorite. Great for the holiday season for its guaranteed sun protection and also great for the festival season to keep your head dry during sudden downpours.

What was once worn by fishermen and farmers is now a true music icon thanks to bucket icons such as Alan Ren aka Reni of The Stone Roses, The Sugar Hill Gang, Run DMC, LL Cool J, Damon Albarn and of course Liam Gallagher . A staple piece in any casual wardrobe, whether you're a music lover or a fan of retro stuff, the bucket cap is truly one of a kind.

No bucket hat collection would be complete without the famous Kangol styles, famously worn by Liam Gallagher and Damon Albarn during the heyday of '90s Britpop. We also have classic 80s casual sportswear styles from Ellesse and Kappa along with reversible checked designs from Bear and Sebago.
