The Tela Genova brand has existed since 1982 and was born in Val Tronto, in the Sambenedetto area. The denim has a three-piece twill weave, is made of cotton yarn, the weft is white or ecru and the warp is blue . Before the introduction of chemical dyes, the blue color was obtained from the isathis tinctoria plant (commonly known as "woad") or from the indigofera tinctoria plant, indigo.
