Sebago

Sebago is an American company based in Michigan that produces a variety of luxury boat and deck shoes and outdoor shoes, as well as some elegant shoes. Founded in 1946. In 2017, BasicNet acquired Sebago from Wolverine World Wide. During the 1980s, Sebago's "Docksides" became a fashion trend in US universities and high schools, as mentioned in The Official Preppy Handbook.

In 1981 the Sebago "Campsides" (a type of blutcher moccasin, which, like docksiders, are traditionally worn without socks) were introduced. Three years later, in 1984, Sebago sponsored the one-handed transatlantic race in 1984 and the America's Cup in 1992.
